Pick Up A Broom and Help Us Keep North Avenue Clean and Green

Thirty North Avenue businesses, residents and partners turned out in force to make 2014 NABA Clean and Green a success. Thirty volunteers showed up to clean North Avenue sidewalks and parkways on both the Chicago and Oak Park sides from Harlem to Austin on October 11th.The group met at US Bank at 6700 West North Avenue at 8am and divided into six team. Each team then cleaned a segment of North Avenue and wrapped things up at 1pm with lunch.

Special thanks to all the volunteers who gave up their Saturday morning to take part as well as US Bank for hosting the event, the City of Chicago and Village of Oak Park for donating cleaning supplies and tools. Sears for supplying shopping carts to carry tools and supplies, Edwardo’s Natural Pizza for lunch and others listed below.
