NABA Food Drive Another Success!

Thanks to everyone who made this year’s NABA Food Drive another success.We would like to thank our sponsors, Minuteman Press of Oak Park at 6949 West North Avenue for printing flyers, Joan Hallagan of Hallagan’s Business Machines 6850 West North Avenue and Alan Gorstein of Almart Furniture at 7045 West North Avenue for offering their trucks for pickup and delivery.

  We also want to thank our drop off spot sponsors who collected food. They include Al-Mart Furniture & Bedding, 7045 W.    Elizabeth Wilson Yu and the kids and parents of Master Yu Martial Arts came through big again with food and monetary donations. And first time participant Tom Casaccio of Fresh Market Foods at 6209 West North Avenue in Oak Park made a sizeable food donation. A “Special Thanks” also to Oak Park Dental Group at 7034 West North Avenue and One Magnificent Smile at 7020 West North Avenue for donating much needed toothbrushes and toothpaste. Please shop and support all these great businesses who support North Avenue.

    Not only did we make food donations but also financial donations of around $1500 dollars to the Oak Park River Forest Food Pantry, 848 Lake Street, Oak Park 60301 & St. Cyprian’s Ecumenical Food Pantry, 6535 W. Irving Park Rd. Chicago, 60634.

    If you were unable to make a donation, you still can to either of these food banks. And I encourage everyone to take part in next year’s NABA Food Drive and future NABA community events. If we missed someone we’re sorry. Again thank you so much for your support.
